Closing in on Goals

Tara suffered a stroke in 2013 which resulted in right sided weakness and the inability to effectively use her arm on her right side. Tara used to love writing letters to family and friends and playing the organ, which she did in her local church group. Tara began working with Occupational Therapy this year in 2021 to start helping her mobilise and use her right arm again. Through many sessions of therapy with her Occupational Therapist and also undertaking lots of hard work completing arm and hand exercises in her own time, Tara has regained her ability to write small sentences. Tara’s goal of being able to write full letters is within reach now and Tara is excited. Tara has also started playing simple songs on the piano on her iPad as she is demonstrating in the photo above.
